There are 41 new photos in the gallery. Most of them are flowers, including a lot of beautiful orchids from Key West’s “Secret Garden” (the new site banner image was taken from this photo). The others were added in plants and a few in city, country and landscapes including a shot Marlin took of sunrise from our bedroom balcony.
PS: Hey Jack, care to I.D. some more orchids for me?
Ok Ying, Like most philistines you’ve concentrated on the BLOOMS – I also need some foliage to correctly ID the orchids Damnit! But I will do my best. Numbering left to right top to bottom this is what I see….
Page 1 secret garden – #1 phaleanopsis (2 plants), #2 epidendrum, #3 paphiopedilum, #5 too little information to stab at, #6 oncidium, #7dedrobium/phaleanopsis dep. on foliage, #8 dendrobium, #9 vanda
Page 2 secret garden – #1 vanda, #2 vanda, #3 vanda, #4 vanda, #5 bird of paradise clan (nonorchid) #6 oncidium, #7 phaleanopsis, #8 phaleanopsis, #9 vanda/phaleanopsis ? (foliage foliage foliage!)
The ones I have ID’ed i am reasonably sure of but these can be difficult for the nonexpert (ME) especially if no FOLIAGE is shown. I am sure you’ve gotten my gripe by now LOL.
Great pics – sorry it took me so long to respond.
I don’t know what Jack is talking about, I thought there was plenty of foliage. I think you should get more bloom in your pics. But then again, Jack and I are diametrically opposed on several issues. Is that why they say opposites attract?
Beautiful pictures, as always. No snow, but it is cold again, so any additional tropical scenes you would like to post, please feel free
Lovely pictures; thanks for sharing.
